We talked about it before, but now MTV’s new series, Rock the Cradle, is about to burst onto your television on April 3rd. Think about it as an American Idol for children of aging rock stars and pop icons. Starting this Thursday, April 3rd, celeb spawn will battle it out in a live singing competition with the added pressure of pleasing their famous parents. The cast is an interesting bunch with parents who made it big in a vareity of genres: Landon Brown (son of Bobby Brown), A’keiba Burrell

I’m actually working with MTV to promote the show and I think one differentiation between this show and others like it is at some level or another; most of the contestants actually have some level of performance experience and general talent. It’s always going to be difficult for children of famous musicians to get out from under their parent’s shadow, but I think the show is a starting point for them to establish themselves independently as artists. Do you guys think anyone stands out and has a shot at making it?
